Radio COCOA se une con «Variaciones para el Fin del Mundo» a la obra de Manuela Ribadeneira y Nelson García: IMPROMPTU, op 26., el miércoles 16 de noviembre. IMPROMPTU, op 26 se inaugura el jueves 10 de noviembre a las 19:30, y permanecerá abierta hasta el 24 de noviembre, en la galería ARTE ACTUAL de la FLACSO (Pradera y Av. Almagro).
Finlandia, Op. 26 es un poema sinfónico compuesto por el compositor finlandés Jean Sibelius. La primera versión fue compuesta en1899 para una celebración organizada por la prensa finlandesa. Este acto fue una protesta encubierta en contra de la censura ejercida por el Imperio Ruso en la Finlandia ocupada. Desde este momento en adelante, Finlandia se convirtió en un himno de oposición a la ocupación y a la censura. Se interpretó en innumerables ocasiones bajo diversos nombres. El cambio de nombres fue una manera de evitar la censura. Además de su título original: Música para una ceremonia de prensa, Finlandia, como se la conoce hoy en día, se ha llamado Impromptu, El despertar, Nocturno y Sentimientos felices ante el despertar de la primavera Finlandesa. Sibelius aprobó el cambio de nombres para “poder sonar con más libertad”.
