Hidden Hospitals no es una banda a que se le puede atribuir fácilmente un género. Conformada por los ex miembros de las bandas newyorkinas Damiera y Kiss Kiss, su sonido se apoya en características del rock experimental y progresivo de sus anteriores proyectos musicales. Pero las canciones de su primer disco, EP 001, dan a luz un sonido innovador y original.
Lo que más impulsa estas canciones son las melodías vocales detalladas, las cuales encajan perfectamente con arranques controlados de energía intensa gracias a una inteligente interacción entre guitaras, unos basslines retumbantes y la batería que a la vez es potente y elaborada.
Esta banda, radicada en Chicago, está compuesta por David Raymond (Guitara y voz), Steve Downs (guitara), Jared Karns (batería) y John Scott (bajo y voz). Sacaron su primer EP para descargar del internet el primero de septiembre 2011, y le seguirá la salida de la versión física en el día de San Valentín 2012.

Hidden Hospitals is not a band that can easily be given a genre tag. Composed of the ex members of New York bands Damiera and Kiss Kiss, their sound certainly draws on characteristics of experimental and progressive rock from previous musical projects, but the songs on first release, EP 001, give birth to an innovative, new sound.
What drives these songs are the intricate vocal melodies, which fit together flawlessly with controlled outbursts of intense energy courtesy of intelligent guitar interplay, thundering bass lines and drumming which is powerful but also ornate.
This Chicago-based band is made up of David Raymond (guitar and vocals), Steve Downs (guitar) Jared Karns (drums) and John Scott (bass and vocals). They released their first EP for download on 1st September 2011, and this will be followed by the physical release on Valentine’s Day 2012.
